Heaven's Dew Montessori is a nurturing learning community in Koforidua, Ghana, dedicated to raising independent, curious, and confident children through the Montessori philosophy.

Our Story

Where It All Began.

Heaven's Dew Montessori was birthed under divine inspiration through a series of dreams and visions. Led by the Holy Spirit, Dr and Mrs Owusu founded this school - which they call a ministry - on 6th September 2017, in Koforidua, the capital of Ghana's Eastern Region.

Within a few years of opening, the school experienced remarkable growth in pupil intake, staff recruitment, and infrastructural expansion. Blessed with faithful parents who support every project the school undertakes, HDM has grown into one of the most respected Montessori institutions in the region.

We proudly uphold a "No child is left behind" policy, with a child-to-teacher ratio of 10:1 that guarantees every pupil receives the individual attention, support, and care they need at every stage of their education.

At Heaven's Dew Montessori, we believe that education goes far beyond academic achievement. Our Philosophy is rooted in the understanding that a truly educated child is one who is confident, compassionate, curious, and capable - not just in the classroom, but in life.

We see each child as a complete individual - with unique strengths, learning styles, and ways of engaging with the world. Our role as educators is not to mould children into a predetermined shape, but to create the conditions in which each child can discover and develop their own greatness.

A Journey of Growth
& Purpose.

2017

The Beginning

Heaven's Dew Montessori opens its doors in Koforidua on 6th September - founded by Dr and Mrs Owusu under divine inspiration, with a small cohort of pupils and a team of dedicated educators driven by a shared vision for child-centred education.

2018

First Expansion

Growing demand leads to the addition of our Primary programme, extending learning from Preschool through to primary level and significantly increasing student enrolment within the first two years.

2019

New Campus Facilities

Construction of the school's dedicated library, computer lab, and outdoor learning spaces - creating the modern, fully equipped campus environment that defines HDM today.

2020

Upper Primary Launch

The introduction of our Upper Primary programme completes the full school journey at HDM, allowing students to remain in the Montessori environment through to secondary school transition.

2021

Robotics & STEM Programme

HDM launches one of the first dedicated Robotics and STEM programmes in a primary school in the Eastern Region, cementing our reputation for innovative, future-focused education.

2022

After School & Summer Programmes

Expanding beyond the school day, HDM introduces structured After School Activities and a Summer Programme - extending learning, creativity, and community beyond the academic calendar.

2024

Digital Transformation

Launch of HDM's student portal and digital communication platform, streamlining parent engagement, academic reporting, and school-wide communications.

2026

Website Relaunch

A bold redesign of HDM's digital presence - reflecting the school's growth, values, and vision for the future with a modern, accessible, and beautifully crafted website.
